Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing business in Melbourne CBD on 6-month temporary contract.
You will work closely with a talented and approachable CFO, playing a pivotal role to deliver key operational financial activities whilst contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives.

The Role
Reporting to the CFO, your duties will be varied to include:
- Co-ordinating the month end close process for the consolidated group of entities
- Posting monthly accrual, prepayment, statutory, legal, tax and other ad-hoc journals
- Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports for senior management
- Identify and resolve issues impacting financial reporting
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with tax regulations and corporate policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audit
- Prepare BAS and FBT returns.
Your Profile
- CA/CPA qualified with proven expertise in month-end and year-end reporting.
- You will need to be comfortable working in a newly created and autonomous role with hands-on involvement in day-to-day operational finance activities.
- You will need to be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities
- You will need to be able to commence at short notice.
