Our client is a Prestige International Private Bank seeking an experienced Associate Director or Director graded Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and HR Governance professional to join its Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for driving Compensation and Benefits and HR Governance initiatives while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Given the lean team structure, the successful candidate will also provide support across broader HR operations functions if needed.
Your new role
- Manage and administer compensation and benefits, and rewards programmes across the organisation.
- Provide subject matter expertise on relevant HR policies, such as CG-5 or CRD with good experience with the EBA, ensuring alignment with internal governance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support annual compensation exercises, including salary reviews, bonus planning, budgeting, market benchmarking and reward analysis.
- Review and enhance compensation and benefits frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure competitiveness and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues to provide advisory support on compensation-related matters, policy interpretation and employee queries.
- Conduct market intelligence and rewards benchmarking to support talent attraction and retention strategies.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of employee compensation and benefits data and reporting.
- Support HR governance initiatives, audits and regulatory reviews where required.
- Assist with HR operations activities, including employee life cycle processes, policy administration and operational improvement projects.
- Participate in ad hoc HR projects and assignments as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8-12 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on Rewards and C&B.
- Solid hands-on knowledge of CG-5 HR policies or related CRD governance frameworks under the EBA.
- Prior experience gained within international banking institutions is essential.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, including employee life cycle processes and HR administration.
- Experience managing annual compensation reviews, bonus exercises, salary benchmarking and rewards projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees and senior management effectively.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), both written and spoken.
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a lean team environment where responsibilities may extend beyond core C&B functions.
