Our client is a rapidly growing technology-driven organisation investing heavily in data science, algorithm innovation, and intelligent customer engagement and data-driven growth as key business drivers. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Head of Platform Operations Algorithm to lead a high-performing team focused on customer lifecycle management, retention strategies, personalisation, and intelligent decision-making capabilities that support long-term business growth.

Your new role

• Define and drive the platform operations algorithm roadmap aligned with customer growth, engagement, retention, and business objectives.
• Lead a team of professionals to develop customer lifecycle, retention, and engagement strategies through data and algorithmic solutions.
• Build and enhance recommendation, segmentation, and personalisation capabilities to improve user experience and business performance.
• Design predictive models to support churn prevention, customer value improvement, and operational decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Technology teams to solve business challenges through data-driven solutions.
• Drive A/B testing, experimentation, and performance optimisation initiatives.
• Leverage customer and operational data to identify behavioural insights and business opportunities.
• Explore emerging AI and machine learning technologies that can enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.
• Act as the technical leader for platform operations algorithms while contributing to the broader data and AI strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

• Master's Degree or above in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong experience in Data Science, Algorithm Development, Machine Learning, Customer Analytics, Recommendation Systems, Personalisation Platforms, or related fields.
• Strong background in high-traffic E-commerce, Marketplace, Consumer Internet, AdTech, Gaming, or other large-scale/regional digital platforms is a must.
• Experience building recommendation systems, customer segmentation models, retention models, churn prediction solutions, personalisation engines, or behavioural analytics capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of predictive modelling, statistical analysis, optimisation techniques, experimentation, and customer behaviour analytics.
• Proven experience using data and algorithms to improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention, conversion, or customer lifetime value.
• Exposure to AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, or emerging technologies would be advantageous.
• Strong business acumen, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), with a valid Hong Kong work permit is a must.
